The Magnus Ehrnrooth Foundation has awarded grants for the year 2025. The foundation received a total of 588 applications within the application period, with grant requests amounting to approximately 22 million euros in total.
In 2025, the foundation awarded new grants totaling 2,129,007 €. Of these, 1,452,009 € are allocated for 2025, and 676,998 € are reserved for the years 2026–2028. Additionally, 563,800 € had been previously allocated for distribution in 2025. As a result, the foundation will distribute a total of 2,015,809 € in research grants in 2025.
The approval rate for grants in 2025 was approximately 9.6%.

Medicinal Chemistry: 392,000 €
Mathematics: 311,543 €
Astronomy: 92,200 €

In addition to the open call for applications, the foundation will also support the research projects CoastClim (University of Helsinki) and SuperC (Aalto University) in 2025 with donations of 200,000 euros.
